<br />Technical Revision No. 24 (Hydrology Monitoring Reduction)
<br />Pursuant to Title 34, Article 35, Paragraph 3, of the Colorado Revised
<br />Statutes, the Division of Minerals and Geology hereby issues notice that on
<br />December 17, 1993, a technical revision application for a permit to conduct
<br />coal mining operations by Cyprus Orchard Valley Coal Corp., P.O. Box 1299,
<br />Paonia, Colorado 81428, was deemed complete for the purposes of filing. All
<br />reviews and comment periods as provided in the Act and Regulations promulgated
<br />thereunder initiate from this day of filing.
<br />The applicant proposes to revise underground coal mining operations at the
<br />Orchard Valley Mine. The revision proposes various changes to the hydrologic
<br />monitoring plan.
<br />The Orchard Valley permit area is located approximately four miles north of
<br />Paonia, Colorado, and is further described as follows:
<br />A parcel of land situated in Sections 1, 2, 10-15, 22-25, Township 13 South,
<br />Range 9Z West of the 6th P.M., and Sections 5-8, 17-19, 29-32, Township 13
<br />South, Range 91 West of the 6th P.M., described as follows:
