Permit Revision No. 7 -Responses
March 7, 1997
Page 6
26. Ditch lining and sideslope dimensions for each ditch have been included on the ditch data
chart on Map 54B and Table 44E-1 of Exhibit 66 as requested. Ditch construction details
are shown on the enclosed construction drawings (Drawing E611307A).
27. SEDCAD software is Limited to a finite number of structures. The main SEDCAD mode!
incorporates the proper routing to accurately calculate the peak flow at any point within the
watershed. Ditches and culverts were modeled within the main SEDCAD model wherever
practical. The remaining channels and culverts were sized, based on the peak flow
calculated in the main SEDCAD model, using the culvert and channel sizing utilities. The
output from the utilities is included in the SEDCAD output package.
28. The SEDCAD run for subwatershed 44D has been revised accordingly.
29. The SEDCAD runs have been modified to include these watersheds.
30. The culvert originally designated as CSLY-5 has been eliminated due to design
modifications. Revised SEDCAD runs are included.
31. The SEDCAD runs and the routing diagram have been revised accordingly, with respect to
CSLY-8, DSLY-8, and CSLY-3.
32. All ditch and culvert designations have not been added to the SGP drawings (now referred
to as E611XJQC). Map 54B, which does include ditch designations that correspond to the
ditch data chart and Table 44E-1 of Exhibit 66, has been revised to include the new ditches
and culverts.
33. The SEDCAD model has been revised due to design modifications and is enclosed.
34. The flow rate of 17.8 cfs represents the peak flow at any point within ditch DSLY-1. The
storage volume within ditch DSLY-1 attenuates the peak flow as the water travels through
the ditch. Therefore, when the peak flow reaches culvert CSLY-1 it is slightly less then the
peak flow calculated for ditch DSLY-1.
35. SEDCAD softwaze uses the input value to perform hydraulic calculations but rounds the
sideslope value in the output. The sideslope value shown in the output is 2.SH:1 V rounded
to 3H:1 V.
36. The drawing "Sediment Pond SG-1 Plan, Sections, and Details" has been replaced by
drawings E611304A and E611306A. Drawing scales have been added.
37. A pipe boot, or anti-seep collaz, has been included in the design is shown on Detail 2,
drawing number E611306A.
