A sign identifying the Mid-Continent Limestone Quarry, <br />including the MLRD permit number, and markers identifying <br />the permit boundary, were installed on April 10, 1992. <br />2. Straw bales were installed in the drainage channel <br />between the fines stockpile and the point where the <br />drainage intersects and becomes the Transfer Trail Road <br />on April 20, 1992. <br />3. The regrading of the fines stockpile benches for water <br />diversion is scheduled to begin April 22, 1992, weather <br />permitting. <br />4. Hydrologic design work for the two proposed upland <br />diversions, the proposed access road culverts, and <br />riprapping was was begun on April 21, 1992; completed <br />designs will be submitted on or before May 15, 1992. Mid- <br />Continent further commits to installing these structures <br />on or before May 29, 1992, weather permitting. <br />5. Mid-Continent also commits to rototilling the crusher <br />fines in the drainage channel below the stockpile, <br />together with peat moss or dry manure, and reseeding them <br />on or before November 2, 1992. <br />We appreciate the opportunity to work with the Division on <br />these matters, and are confident that these mitigating <br />measures will alleviate the problems at the quarry. <br />incerely, <br />. ~ ~~ <br />John A.
