The technical revision address changes in the post-mining
topography.
As you are aware, EFCI has recently updated the their base maps using topography developed from atrial
surveys. Given the existing revised topography in the facilities area, EFCI has reevaluated the post-mining
topography. The revised post-miming topography has not changed significantly, however, the volume of
material requiring handling and placement was reduced from 55,000 to 50,000 cubic }~ards. The 50,000 cubic
yards includes approximately 5,000 cubic yards for any coaly material which may require disposal. In addition,
the avenge distance bebveen cut mid fill areas is approximately 400 feet, which suggests that the material in the
facilities area can be moved using dozers rather than scrapers. Final grading of Ponds 3 and 4 will require
handling and placement of approximately 21,000 cubic yards. The current bond calculations asswne 17,800
cubic yards.
Included with the transmittal are the following:
• Application for Technical Rcvision
• Public Notice
• Summarv of Revisions and Additions
• Revised Permit Text
• Rcviscd Pemlit Maps
ICyou have any questions or required further information please contact AI Weaver or myself.
Sincerely,
TcrraMn[rix Inc. 3'
C7L~ G oCy~~~^~
Thomas E.
