(C-81-019) Request for Technical Revision - 56, Volume 7, Map 19
Dear Mr. Wacker:
Thank you for your Technecal Adequacy letter dated March 15, 2002, on Technical Revision 56 for Permit
C~81-019. We sincerely appreciate your m-depth review and comprehensive response to our request
W e realize how important achieving -Approwmate Original Contour" is to CDMG and Colowyo. In
response to your comments on adequacy items, Coowyo has addressed CDMG's letter in a document
titled'Comments and Response."
In addition, please find enclosed a new version of the postmining topography map (Map No. 19) as our
proposed version of postmining topography. ARer careful review of the agency's comments, Coowyo
has prepared this map abng with other information supporting this design.
In general Colowyo, believes this design meets compliance with the rules. From an engineering
perspective the post-mining and the pre-mining conditions are very semllar when measurements are
compared, Our proposal also addresses other Important "retaied effects" that enter into the
co+nprehensive design of post-m+ning topography. "Related effects" InGudes diversity of landscape,
diversity of landfortns , geo-technically stable landfomts, stable watersheds, and other post-mining landuse
ooncems.
Coowyo is oommilted b Integrating a multitude of environmental issues into a comprehensive reclamation
plan. As we have mentioned, we are welling to discuss Colrnvyo's plans in detail if necessary. Please feel
CF4.1.2.7 TR-%
