Site Condition Following Mining
Mininq of the quarry will be accomplished by drilling

and blasting on 40-foot tiers. Following mining, the land
at the quarry will have been shaped into a nit surrounded
on three sides by a series of 80-foot high sub-vertical rock
walls which will rise upward and outward in stepwise fashion
from an elevation of roughly 6255 feet above sea level to
an approximate elevation of 7050 feet. Year-horizontal 80-
foot wide benches will lie between each 80-foot escarpment.
Grading
All available topsoil stripped from the mining area
will be retained in stockpiles located near the production
plant. The salvaged topsoil will be mixed with overburden
and organic matter in order to provide a growth medium for
use in restoration of the site. This material will be
spread over the area to be reclaimed and graded as shown
in Exhibit F. Grading will be consistent with the work
done in previously reclaimed areas, no slopes will exceed
a gradient of roughly 1:1. Movement of machinery across
the slope will compact the soil and the compacted materials
will enhance the stability of the adjacent highwalls.
