Our county conditional use permit
required this relocation. The position of the road is shown on the
subsequent annual report maps. The original access road which entered
the property from the northwest has since been reclaimed. Upon final
reclamation the existing paved road will remain. Post-mine land use
for this property is designated as range land. The road will be used
to maintain the property and may provide access to feed stockpiles. A
paved road will allow easier access in inclement weather. Because
this use is consist with the post-mine land use we request that this
revision to the permit be accepted.
Item 2: Employee Housing Area
Our original permit application shows a portion of the property which
is designated for employee and equipment parking. This area is
currently used for parking employee campers. One mobile home is also
located in the area. We request that our permit reflect mobile homes
and campers may also be located in the area designated for employee
and equipment parking. This temporary housing area occupies less than
1 acre of the total 6+ acre area which was designated for employee
parking and equipment parking. The area is bermed and upon final
reclamation the berm would be redistributed over the affected area and
seeded. The area designated in our original application for such
parking uses is substantially larger than that which is currently
disturbed. The entire area was included in the original bond
calculation, therefore the cost of reclaiming the currently affected
area is more than adequately covered by the bond which is currently in
place.
If you need any further information, please contact me. Thank you for
your consideration of this matter.
Yours truly,
