.~
M77-560/Bond
4/5/95
page 2
1. All slopes above the water line will be reduce3 to 3:1
maximum, for stability and ease in mechanized revegetation.
This applies to all pond perimeters, except the south bank of
the West Pond. That bank slope will be kept at 2:1 and seeded
by hand, to help protect the large trees which are now there.
2. Within the "new" area, in Stage I, where the slurry pumping
and bowl were proposed, all operations are now regarded as
only tentative. No operations will occur there, except for
two roads crossing that stage, connecting the emtrance to
Stage III, and connecting Stage IV to V. These amount to
about 1 acre of disturbance. The roads in Stage I will remain
after reclamation. No bond figures are now included in the
grand total for reclaiming any operations in Stage I. When
excavation or other activities are planned to occur there, an
appropriate increase in bond amount should be made to cover
that reclamation.
3. All topsoil and overburden related to the excavation of the
pond in Stages II and III will be pushed to the outer margins
of those stages, for simpler backfilling and replacing. These
materials will not be mass moved to Stage I.
As a final item, please send me an update of how you are F~roceeding
with approval of the substitute water supply plan, plus any recent
written dealings with the local farmers who originally expressed
concerns with dust, and also from the City of Aurora, who is/was
obligated to successfully revegetate the "new" parcel.
Please review the enclosed bond calculations, and let me know at
your earliest convenience whether the revised figures meet your
approval. If you have any questions or corrections concerning this
amendment, feel free to contact me.
Sincerely,
gld b ~'~L
Bob Oswald
Environmental Protection Specialist
enclosures: bond calculations
b:\dmgcor04.95/6-7
