POST OFFICE BOX 518 <br />SOMERSET, CO 81434 <br />(970)929-5775 <br />III IIIIIIIIIIIIIIII <br />sss <br />oGr.~~VED <br />DEC 14 1995 <br />December 13, 1995 <br />Mr. Anthony Waldron <br />Division of Minerals & Geology <br />1313 Sherman Street, Room 215 <br />Denver, Colorado 80203 <br />RE: NOV C-95-024 <br />Permit C-81-033 <br />Dear Mr. Waldron: <br />Division of Nunerais s Ueoiog~ <br />The Division issued Bear Coal Company a violation for failure to collect and <br />provide all required parameters associated with the hydrologic monitoring of <br />alluvial well AA1 and AA3. <br />The step necessary to abate the referenced violation is to submit a letter to the <br />Division indicating that the operator has taken the necessary steps to assure <br />that sampling will be conducted in compliance with the requirements of Section <br />2.04.7 and table F of the approved permit application. <br />Beaz Coal Company hereby notifies the Division that all reasonable efforts aze <br />being made to assure the hydrologic monitoring is performed in accordance with <br />the requirements of the permit. An outside consultant is monitoring the springs <br />in Lone Pine Gulch. A required parameter list is sent to the laboratory with <br />each water sample to assure the water is analyzed correctly.
