targeted areas may increase and consequently Map #3 may be
revised as part of this Technical Revision.
Stipulation #2 limits the maximum disturbance to 25 acres pe ding any
adjustments to the financial warranty. The Conversion, your adequa y letter of
14 May 1997, and the reply of 18 May 1997, left some remaining is ues to be
attended to at the time of the planned technical revision. Those ~ tters are
attended to here-in, in part or in whole, some of which cannot be fully
determined until the Division inspects the site and verifies th ground
interpretations with the photo-survey of the property.
The aerial photograph provided in this Technical Revision is a unique
instrument that allows for surrey level accuracy in the identific tion and
measurement of irregular boundaries of disturbed land. The lines c rrespond
to actual ground locations accurate enough to receive a surveyor's c rtification.
An uncorrected aerial photograph provided the datum for the original ubmittal,
but with the increased accuracy of the ground controlled and digitally corrected
aerial datum of 1997, new measurements and ground interpretatio s derived
therefrom must be attended to. The following table is a comparis n of the
approximations derived from the uncorrected aerial photograph October
1996 with that of the corrected aerial photograph of November 1998 as
measured with surveyed ground control and enhanced CADCAM so are:
OCTOBER 1996 AREA DESCRIPTION NOVEMBE 1997
7.314 Pre-Law Disturbed Land 7.79
2.282 Mar inall Affected Land 0.79
2.729 Roads 2.30
5.745 Affected Lands/guar 8.67
0.000 Stora a 1.12
18.07 ~ = 2.56 20.63
Since operations remain comparatively unchanged from October 996, the
increase in acreage of 2.56 acres is predominantly attributable to ncreased
accuracy of the ground controlled corrected aerial photograph a d related
interpretations from the enhanced image that was measured by CADCAM
internally within the computer.
Interpretation of the new aerial caused a majority of the Marginall Affected
Lands category to drop out. Regardless, a comparison of Marginall Affected
and Affected/Quarry lands resulted in a difference of 1.393 acres Prelaw
Affected Lands were slightly larger than originally estimated at 0.4 6 acres.
Road areas decreased by 0.429 acres.
2
Rocky Road Investment, Inc. Technical Revision of 30 January 1998 for M8 -210.
