First, Mr. Gehrke inspected topsoil pile 8 and agrees that the straw bales that were placed on the southwest side of the stockpile should be extended further north on the west side of the pile to ensure no loss of topsail due to runoff into the adjacent ditch. Also, additional bales will be placed around the south side of stockpile 8 as shown on the attached revised Figure 1. Second, regarding topsoil pile 13, the catchment ditches and basin were incorrectly shown on the north side of the pile in the September 13, 1990 submittal. Attached Figure 1 has been revised to show the correct alignment and placement of the catchment basin and ditches. The ditches will divert any runoff from the pile to the basin to ensure no topsoil resource is lost. As shown on the SEDCAD+ model results (Attachment 1 to the September 13, 1990 letter) the capacity of the catchment basin needs to be G.06 acre feet. Attachment 2 shows a schematic cross-section of the catchment basin. From that drawing, assuming average storage depth of 2.5 feet and minimum bottom width of 10 feet, the catchment basin will be approximately 75 feet long for the required storage.
