The surface of this site will be used to
stockpile topsoil (from phase 1 area) and product material (rip rap, etc). The 100,000 gallon
water storage tatrlc is located on the edge of the 6.2 acre Creosote Evaluation Area, and will
remain there. It will not be moved. It will be used for water storage for dust control, for the
concrete plant, and to water vegetation as needed. The 6.2 acre site will be used to access the
phase 1 area and for vehicle traffic transporting material out of phase 1.
B. The highwalls will be mined excavated with respect to the final slope--not to exceed 2 to 1.
We intend to mine the cut banks (highwalls) at a 2:1 or less slope so we will not have to cut and
fill or backfill the highwall areas to establish final grade.
Exhibit D -Rule 3.1.6 - No ground water will be exposed during the mining operation. Due [o
the structure of the geological water drainage into the Arkansas River Basin, with all existing
water wells being upstream from the permit area, it is extremely unlikely that mining operations
will adversely effect any of the existing water wells. The ponds do in fact intercede natural
occumng spring water.
Exhibit E -rule 6.4.5 -The shop building will remain as is. It will not be removed when mining
operations cease. I[ is currently and will continue to be used for storage and parking vehicles.
The dimensions of this building are 60' x 100' x 20' high. The masonry structure, fornrerly used
by Koppers, is being used for storage at this time. After mining operations cease, the building
will be left and used in the concrete operation which will remain after the mining ceases. The
dimensions of this building are 37' 6" x 124' x 25' high. The structure is made of red brick and
concrete. It has a very substantial concrete foundation [hat is in excellent condition. The weigh
scales east of the shop will remain where they are. After mining operations cease, they will
continue [o be used in the concrete operation. The concrete structures there have been there for
•~ ~
~f
EVERY CONSTRUOTION $ERVIOE
FROM THE DRAFTING BOARD TO THE BUILDING
.'' ~~ ~/ -
~~ A fib,
