Cottony <br />Division Director <br />Natural Resource Trustee <br />The Colorado Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety (Division) has received timely written objections to the <br />amendment application for the Coaldale Quarry. Comments and objections have been forwarded to Holcim (US) Inc. <br />In accordance with Rule 2.7.1 of the Construction Materials Rules and Regulations of the Colorado Mined Land <br />Reclamation Board, a Fre-hearing Conference has been scheduled to occur on Fridav. June 29, 2007, beginning at <br />11:00 a.m. Those wishing to participate must be present at the Coaldale Community Center, 13690 County Road 45, <br />Coaldale, Colorado. <br />Ms. Sandra Brown will preside as the Pre-hearing Conference Officer. The purpose of the Pre-hearing Conference is <br />to describe the Division's review process, to explain the rights and responsibilities of parties, to discuss and resolve <br />issues to the extent possible, to describe the Board Heazing processes, to determine the list of issues under the Board's <br />jurisdiction and to simplify the list, and to determine who has demonstrated standing to be a party to the Formal <br />Board Heazing. <br />The Division has scheduled the matter for Formal Public Hearing before the Colorado Mined Land Reclamation <br />Board. The hearing on this amendment application for the Coaldale Quarry will occur during the Julv 11-12, 2007 <br />Board meeting at 1313 Sherman St., Room 318, Denver, Colorado. The meeting will begin at 9:00 a.m. on July 11`s <br />or as soon thereafter as the matter can be considered. Parties and interested persons will have the opportunity to be <br />heard. Decisions reached by the Pre-hearing Conference Officer are not final until adopted or approved by the Board <br />at the Formal Public Hearing. Any party has the right to file a motion to the Boazd to review any decision of the Pre- <br />hearing Conference Officer, or to raise any concerns or issues with the pre-hearing order at the beginning of the <br />Formal Public Hearing. <br />If you need additional information, please contact me at the Division of Reclamation, Mining, and Safety, 1313 <br />Sherman Street, Room 215, Denver, Colorado 80203, telephone no.303-866-4063. <br />Please review the enclosed informational memo RE: Citizen Participation in the 112 Reclamation Permit <br />Application Process, and complete either of the last two pages, if applicable, and return the completed form to <br />the Division or bring the completed form to the Pre-hearing Conference.
