EXHIBIT E -Reclamation Plan
Each of the three tracts will be sloped when completed. There will be two final uses,
Tracts 1 will primarily have a fmal use of wildlife habitat after the grass has been re-
established. Tracts 2 and 3 will be farmed as cropland after they aze reclaimed.
a) The stockpiled topsoil will be replaced in those areas outside the creek before
seeding of the pit occurs. There is about 5" of topsoil on the azeas with Rago,
Kuma, and Platner loam soils soil complex. All of the stockpiled topsoil will
be returned. We anticipate this to be in the 5" depth range. We anticipate
seeding the temporary topsoil stockpiles with brome grass to prevent erosion.
b) Scopes no greater than 3;1 will be left in the completed pit.
c) Seeding will not occur until the entire area has been mined. A seeding
recommendation from the Phillips County NRCS for Tract 1 (110 permit) will
be used for Tract 1 and is attached. It will be the basis of the reclamation plan
for that tract. No seeding will occur in the flow azea of the creek, as that grass
would simply be washed out when heavy rainfall occurs. Tracts 2 and 3 will
not be seeded, as their final use will be for cropland.
d) Two or three small depressions may be left in the creek flow area in hopes
that water might accumulate and be available for wildlife once the pit is
completed.
e) The temporary haul roads will be reclaimed once the mining is complete.
f) There are no other reclamation treatments to note for this site.
A cost estimate for fmal reclamation has been prepared and is attached.
