I <br />~ '. <br />Ma.ior Recovery Program Support Activities (Basinwide): <br />Support activities (funding, research, I and E, etc.) in the Program that <br />contribute to sufficient progress to the extent they help achieve a measurable <br />population response, a measurable improvement in habitat for the fishes, legal <br />protection of flows needed for recovery, or a reduction in the threat of <br />immediate extinction. <br />1. Signing of a cooperative agreement to implement the Recovery Program. <br />2. Resolutions supporting the Recovery Program made by water user <br />groups in Utah, Colorado, Wyoming, and several major environmental groups. <br />3. Active participation by all cooperators in implementing the Recovery <br />Program, including meeting all funding commitments and seeking funds from <br />Congress necessary to implement the program. <br />4. The expenditure of E15.9 million from 1988 to 1993 to implement the <br />Recovery Program work plans. These work plans have provided funding for <br />numerous high priority recovery activities and studies related to the <br />endangered Colorado River fishes. <br />5. Commitment by members of the Recovery Program to develop and implement in <br />a timely manner the Recovery Implementation Program Recovery Action Plan, <br />which will give priority consideration to implementing recovery actions <br />which will result in significant protection and improvement of the <br />endangered fish populations in their habitat. <br />
