We propose to
plant seedling Pinon Pine, Ponderosa Pine and Rocky Mountain
Juniper at a rate of one per ten (10) square feet of re-topsoiled
slope. These are the plants available through Colorado State
Forest Service and Soil Conservation Service.
In addition, we propose to broadcast seed wildland shrub
and groundcover seeds like peking cotoneaster, mahonia repens,
and western sandcherry on the sloped areas. These seeds would
be mixed with the reclamation grass seeds at a rate of 1 lb
per 10,000 sq ft of area to be sown.
