Binns
Reclamation Specialist
Division of Minerals and Geology
1313 Sherman Street, Room 215
Denver, CO 80203-2273
Re: NOV C-92-038, Permit No. C-81-041
Dear Ms. Binns:
MAR 11993
Division of Minerals 8 Geology
Powderhorn respectfully requests an additional extension of time
to complete abatement of installation of rip rap in collection
ditches at CRDA No. 1 and CRDA No. 2. Winter is generally not a
good time to work on outslopes of refuse piles and this winter
has been no exception. The above normal precipitation has made
access to the refuse pile and to the source of rip rap extremely
difficult.
So far approximately 500' of rip rap has been placed of the 1400'
required. This 500' along a gravel road has been difficult but
the remaining 900' will require access across refuse which
becomes impassible when wet. March is generally a wet month
also, therefore, it is difficult to estimate how much additional
time will be necessary. I will keep you posted.
The other two items in subject NOV, the two culverts and the CRDA
No. 1 bench 3 drainage, have been taken care of.
Thanks for your assistance. Let me know if you have any
questions.
Sincerely,
rry Reschke
Engin er
LMR:jP
cc: W. C. Jennings, PRCC
D. A. Jenkel, PRCC
