Cattany <br />Division Director <br />Natural Resource Trustee <br />The Division of Minerals and Geology hereby issues notice, in accordance with Title 34, Article 33, Section ] 16, Paragraph 4, <br />of the Colorado Revised Statutes, that on December 17, 2004, an application to revise coal mining operations at the Hayden <br />Gulch Loadout was considered complete for the purposes of filing. The revision was submitted by Hayden Gulch Terminal, <br />Inc.. All review and comment periods as provided in the Act and the Regulations initiate from this date of filing. <br />The Hayden Gulch Loadout has submitted a revision to change there permit to allow for the hauling of coal to the loadout and <br />tracking the coal to the Hayden Station The revision would allow for a coal stockpile at 2.0 million tons and the construction <br />of new facilities. The operator is not requesting an increase in disturbed or permit area. This is a ladout only facility and no <br />coal is mined at this site. <br />The Other coal mining operation is on land located approximately 2 miles Southeast of Hayden. The permit area is further <br />described as follows: <br />Portions o£ E1/2 Sec. 10, W 1/2 Sec. 14, E1/2E1/2 Sec. 15, NEl/4 Sec. 22, NW 1/4NWIJ4 Sec. 23, Township 6 North, Range <br />88 West of the 6th P.M. <br />The above-mentioned tracts of land are shown on USGS 7.5 minute Quadtzngle trap of Mount Hams. <br />The applicant is required to publish notice in a local newspaper that this application has been deemed complete. At the time of <br />publication of this notice, the applicant is additionally required to place a copy of this application at the Routt County <br />Courthouse, P.O. Box 773598, Steamboat Springs, CO 80477, and at the Division office. For additional information or to <br />provide written comments, contact the Division of Minerals and Geology, Room 215, 1313 Sherman Street, Denver, <br />Colorado 80203, (303) 866-3567. Tn order for us to comply with regulatory time frames, we request that comments be <br />submitted within fifteen (15) days of this letter.
