The revised reclamation costs will also need to include the cost for mobilization and
demobilization of equipment, structural demolition of all processing facilities, and
a contingency of 20 percent for indirect costs. Please provide the anticipated
number of pieces of equipment needed in order to perform reclamation and the
anticipated cost for structural demolition of the crusher and screening plant.
4. The revised reclamation costs provided include highwall reduction, final grading,
topsoil application, and revegetation. The Division would like to verify the areas,
lengths, and volumes provided during a field inspection prior to the May 9, 1995
decision date. I will be contacting Mr. Lloyd Weir soon to arrange a time and date
for a field inspection. Also, does your proposed cost of $2.00/yd' for highwall
reduction include the cost of drilling and blasting? If not, we will need to include
a separate reclamation cost of drilling and blasting the highwalls prior to regrading
to a 3:1 slope.
5. I have included copies of correspondence from the State Engineers Office and
Division of Wildlife for your review.
Please call me at (303) 866-3567 if you have specific questions.
Sincerely,
~t~
Thomas A.
