Room 215 <br />Dem~er, Colorado 80203 <br />Reference: Application for Amendment Number 6 to Permit Number M-80-244: <br />Reclamation Surety Calculations and Revised .4nolication Text <br />Spreadsheet for Action Plan. and Exhibit A. <br />Dear Mr. Keffelew: <br />• The Cripple Creek & Victor Gold Mining Company ("CC&V") is submitting t l) the calculations <br />upon which the reclama[ion surety is based for the Cresson Permit Area, (2) a revised <br />spreadsheet that outlines the actions and reactions undertaken by CC&V w~tth respect [o leak <br />detection, leak collection, and cyanide solution mana¢ement for the valley leach facility which <br />we reviewed with you about a week ago, and (3) a revised Exhibit ;~ which now incorpora[es <br />a combined listine of lands involved in Permus ht 77-367 and :vl 80-2-1-1. Also enclosed is [he <br />redlined [ex[ of the application with the February and March technical responses woven into the <br />November material to help ensure that the e.xplana[ions and commt[ments are part of the <br />application. <br />The redlined text can be substituted for the old text. Redlined text is the only [ext that had <br />amthine but a grammatical or spelline error correc[ed. As soon as you wish, we can provide <br />a non-redlined version. [f I have omitted something you expec[ed. please let me know. <br />It is CC&V's desire to prepare a phased bond estimate as soon as we possibly can. There would <br />he two phases with the loading of [he Phase 2 valley leach facility initiative the second phase. <br />The surety information submitted today is for the entire permi[ area. Hopefully Greg Squires <br />can work closely with Bruce DeWvk to answer yuesnons and. upon wr eaining an <br />undersrandine oC Greg s satisfaction with CCScV's submission, we can complete calculations for <br />a first increment to cover the Phase 1 valley leach facili[v and related disturbance. <br />If i[ is convenient.
