Cottony <br />Division Director <br />Natural Resource Trustee <br />The Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety has finished the review of Amendment AM-Ol. <br />It appears that United /Old Castle has met the minimum requirements of the Rules and Regulations for <br />the addition of 41 acres to the overall permitted area. Therefore, staff is pleased to inform United /Old <br />Castle that AM-Ol is approved. <br />Staff has received verbal confirmation of acceptance of the Financial Liability from United and Lewicki <br />and Associates for the amendment which is $443,731.00. This is based on the worst case scenario of <br />full reclamation of Pit #4, provided that concurrent reclamation continues as planned. Please submit a <br />new bond in the full amount of $443,731.00 or a rider to the current bond held for an additional <br />$294,799.00 to the Division's Denver Office. If United has any question regarding bonding issues it <br />should contact Elizabeth Shelton at 303-866-4084.
