Eastside Coal Company Inc <br />PO Box 701007 <br />San Antonio, TX 78247 <br />21090-8837 <br />has filed an application for a Phase II bond release for the Eastside Mine, Permit No C-1984- <br />063, approved Jan 14, 2000, with the Colorado Division of Minerals and Geology. The Pfiase II <br />bond release covers land in Section 24, TSS, R92W, 6'h P.M. Garfield County, Colorado, more <br />specifically described as follows: <br />Commencing from a point which bears S6"25'OS"W, 483'+/- from the NE comer of <br />Section 24: thence south a distance of 905'+/_; thence S89°2T34"E a distance of <br />2,650'+/-; thence south a distance of 975'+/-; thence west a distance of 4,160'+/-; thence <br />south a distance of 395'+/-; thence west a distance of 740'+/-;thence NS°23'22"E a <br />distance of 2,662'+/-; thence S80°04'26"E a distance of 2,030'+/- to the point of <br />beginning. <br />The surface facilities area which has been reclaimed is located approximately 3.75 miles north <br />of Silt, Colorado. Access to the site is via Garfield County Road 237 (Harvey Gap Road). The <br />existing reclaimed area is approximately 1500 feet south of the Grass Valley Reservoir. The <br />Silt Quadrangle, 7.5 Minute Series, contains the area described above. The area covered is <br />approximately three (3) acres. <br />The area was regraded and seeded in 1985. In 2000 a vegetation survey indicated a vegetation <br />cover of 55% which meets the approved standard of 35 % cover for a Phase 1[ bond release. <br />A copy of the application is available for public inspection at the Ga~eld County courthouse, <br />Glenwood Springs, Colorado and the Colorado Division of minerals and Geology, Denver, <br />Colorado.
