Cattany <br /> Division Director <br />Re: Edna Strip Mine (Permit No. C-1980-001) Natural Resource trustee <br />Technical Revision ApplicatiM No. 43 (TR-43) <br />Contingent Reclamation Plan fora 3.3 Acre Graveled Area <br />Dear Mr. Eastman: <br />The Division of Minerals and Geology hereby issues notice, in accordance with Title 34, Article 33, Section 116, Paragraph 4, <br />of the Colorado Revised Statutes, [hat on May 17, 2004, an application to revise coal mining operations at the Edna Strip Mine <br />was considered complete for the purposes of filing. The revision was submitted by Pittsburg & Midway Coal Mining Co. All <br />review and comment periods as provided in the Act and [he Regulations initiate from this date of filing. <br />The operator proposes regrading and revegetating most of the 3.3 acres graveled azea at [he Oak Creek entrance, in the event <br />Routt County does not approve commercial use of the graveled area. <br />The surface coal mining operation is on land located approximately 5 miles northwest of Oak Creek, Colorado. The permit area <br />is further described as follows: <br />TSN, R85 W, Portions of Sections 31, 32 <br />TSN, R86W, Portions of Section 36 <br />T4N, R86W, Portions of Sections 12, 13, 14, 23, 24, 25 <br />T4N, R85 W, Portions of Sections 7, 8, 17, 18, 19, 29, 30 <br />The above-mentioned tracts of land are shown on USGS 7.5 minute Quadrangle map of Cow Creek. <br />The applicant is required to publish notice in a local newspaper that [his application has been deemed complete. A[ the time of <br />publication of this notice, the applicant is additionally required to place a copy of this application at the Routt County <br />Courthouse, P.O. Box 773598, Steamboat Springs, CO 80477, and at the Division office. For additional information or to <br />provide written comments, contact the Division of Minerals and Geology, Room 215, 1313 Sherman Street, Denver, <br />Colorado 80203, (303) 866-3567.
