~ III IIIIIIIIIIIIIIII ~
999
Item 4 h)
The text is revised to include a discussion of stream slow and sediment yield as measured by TSS in the
creeks, Fish and Tmut. The geomorphic aspect of the comment was addressed in the original application,
see Exhibit 4e-2, pages 2 - 4, and Map 1. TCC is submitting an additional map, Map lA, which extends
the tertace mapping into sections 16 and 17 of TSN, R86W.
Item 4 i)
TCC has discussed this issue with the Division and it was agreed that a gradient would be provided in lieu
of a map due to the fact that the water level in the alluvium parallels the stream elevation and a map is not
the best way to present the data Also, the text is revised to present the results of slug tests on wells in the
Fish Creek alluvium. The gradient discussion is presented on pages 2.06-13.1 and 13.2, and in Exhibit 4e-
10.
Item 4 j)
TCC ,through its responses in TR 99-32, commits to limiting its discharge from its Foidel Creek mine to
ensure that material damage to downstream A VF's does not occur. Likewise, this commitment carties
through with permit revision 5, and as opposed to rewriting this section of the application TCC incorporates
those changes in the PHC and monitoring plan into permit revision 5.
Item 4 k)
Map 1 B is attached which shows the ranch units. The ranch units include the following: !) Ashley's, 2)
Camiilette & Sons, and 3) Twentymile Coal Company. The ranches also show the state lands that are
leased to these operations.
Item 41)
The text on pages 2.06-13 through 2.06-13.2 is modified ,and exhibits,4e-9 and 4e-10 have been included
to address this concern
Item 4 m)
The text on pages 2.06-13 through 2.06-13.2 is modified, and exhibit 4e-8 is included to address this
concern
Item 4 n)
Tables 77, 78 and 79 have been added to the application ,the longitudinal profile of Fish Creek is provided
on Figure 1 of Exhibit 4e-3, and the text on page 2.06.13.2 is modified to address the concerns.
If there are further questions, please contact me at your convenience.
lSincerely~, ~ ~f
Richard Mills
Environmental Manager
Attachments
File: I:\en\environmental\revsions\permitrevisions\pr5\completenessresponsenov l8.doc
