On October 30, 2006, the Division sent you a notification of"Proposed Decision and Finding of Compliance" for
the Keenesburg Strip Mine (Permit no. C-1981-028). The Division identified an error on the Bond Release
Decision forms for Permit Renewal No. 5 (RNS) and Bond Release No. 3 (SL3). Please find a corrected Bond
Release Decision form for SL3 documenting the corrected reclamation liability for the Keenesburg Mine upon
approval of SL3 as $2,310,380.20.
The SL3 liability correction changes the RNS Permit Renewal Decision form as well. The Division's reclamation
cost estimate conducted July 27, 2006 found the remaining reclamation liability at the Keenesburg Mine to be
$2,327,437.00. Please find a corrected Permit Renewal Decision form for RNS documenting the corrected
reclamation liability for the Keenesburg Mine upon approval of RNS as $2,327,437.00.
No corrections were made in the Findings documents, since both Findings documents reflected the correct liability
amounts.
