MANAGEMENT <br />On behalf of Bowie Resources Limited, (BRL), enclosed is an application for a minor <br />.revision to drill fourteen geotechnical holes. The geotechnical holes will be used to <br />assemble data necessary to perform stability studies for the new coal mine waste <br />disposal area. The holes are on Bowie land within the permit boundary. <br />Right of Entry <br />The new roads and geotechnical holes will be drilled on BRL surface. <br />Affected and Disturbed Area <br />The new light use roads will disturb approximately 1.3 acres. All of the disturbance is <br />outside of the affected area boundary. Drill pads are not required. The track mounted <br />auger will drill within the light use road disturbance. <br />Cultural Resources <br />See Volume VI, Cultural.Resources, item 3. <br />Soils <br />No detailed soil survey exists in the areas to be disturbed by the light use roads. Map <br />4A provides NRCS soil units for the subject area. <br />
