Z: All except S/2SW/4 <br />Sec. 3: NE/4, Lot 3, N/2SE/4 <br />Sec. 11: E/2N E/4 <br />Sec. 12: All except W/2SE/4, NE/45W/4 <br />Sec. 13: N/2NE/4, NE/4NW/4 <br />The above-mentioned tracts of land are shown on USGS 7.5 minute Quadrangle <br />maps of Somerset and Bowie, Colorado. <br />In order for us to approve this renewal application, we are required to affirm <br />that the original finding that "the activities would not affect the continued <br />existence of endangered or threatened species or result in the destruction or <br />adverse modification of their critical habitats as determined under the <br />Endangered Species Act of 1973..." remains valid. 'We request your review and <br />recommendation pursuant to this finding, as well as your evaluation of the <br />continued validity of the projections and assumptions of the mining and <br />reclamation plan which relate to federally protected wildlife species. <br />Applicable sections of the permit application are enclosed. Please advise us <br />if you require additional information. <br />In order for us to comply with regulatory time frames, we request that <br />comments be submitted to Steve Shuey at the Division of Minerals and Geology <br />at the above address by 5:00 p.m. on June 4, 1993. If no comments are <br />received by this date, we will proceed on the assumption that your agency has <br />no concerns with or objections to the applicant's proposal. <br />A copy of the application is available for public inspection at the Delta <br />County Courthouse, Fifth and Palmer, Delta, Colorado. Written comments, <br />objections or requests for an informal conference on the application may be <br />submitted to, and additional information obtained from, the Division of <br />Minerals and Geology, Room 215, 1313 Sherman Street, Denver, Colorado 80203, <br />(303) 866-3567. Written comments, objections or requests for an informal <br />conference must be filed at the Division by 5:00 p.m., within thirty days <br />after the last public notice in the local newspaper. <br />Sincerely, <br />Steve S.
