Concentrations of barium were shown to exceed drinking water standards
(1,000 micrograms/liter) in seven out of eleven wells while boron
concentrations approached the toxic level of plants (2,900 microgramsJliter;
toxic 3,000 micrograms per liter) (BLM 1983).
G.2.3.2,6,2 Site Spe~eifie Ground Water Quality
Water samples were taken during July 1983 from the Bulk Samping test being
conducted by IRI. As expected, conductivity, temperature, and water
production (Table G-3) generally increased with depth. The pH values
remained, for all practical purpose, constant. A water sample taken at
1,200 feet was subjected to a suite of chemical analysis (Table G-4),
Again, all values are generally within expected ranges and are within
drinking water standards.
Additional tests for solids and radiological parameters are also within
expected and acceptable ranges (Tables G-5 and G-6),
C~
•
G-38
