As previously
discussed, the existing diversion will be terminated prior to emptying into the lazge drainage.
Runoff carried by this diversion will be allowed to enter the natural drainage pattern that has
eroded and stabilized to a gentle grade. The current configuration has exhibited excessive
headcutting. This revision is to resolve this problem and greatly reduce maintenance. Map 77A
has been modified showing the location of the proposed end of the diversion.
The portion of the existing diversion to be cut off will be regraded to match the natural terrain
and reestablish pre-existing drainage patterns. At the point where the existing diversion empties
into the lazger drainage the azea of downcutting will be regraded to blend into the adjacent area.
A slight berm will be placed azound this depressed azea to keep runoff from further eroding this
site. All portions of the diversion that will be eliminated will be reseeded.
If you have any further questions please contact me at 970-675-4322.
Sincerely,
,~~~~~~
Scott Wanstedt
Environmental Engineer .
swanstedt~a deseredo.com
enc:
cc: Jeff Dubbert w/o
Max McCoy - BLM
3607 County RD #65
Rnngely, CO 81648
970675-4300
Fnx 970675-0399
