Basin Resources has been working with Halliburton Energy Services to develop a
closure plan that includes grouting of the water bearing intervals to ensure that each of the water bearing
Zones are adequately sealed.
Upon approval of the closure plan by the Division, Basin intends to contract with Halliburton Energy
Services to complete the abandonment and closure of the airshaft. Project completion is projected to
require 5-7 working days. Actual scheduling of the project will be dependent on the availability of
Halliburton personnel and equipment.
The aerial extent of sucface disturbance will not exceed the disturbance resulting from original construction
and operation of the airshaft. Banding posted for this area has not been released, therefore, no increase in
bonding should be required.
Please contact me if there are any questions or if addition information is needed.
Sincerely,
~~
Ron Thompson
For Basin Resources, Inc.
