Lung <br />Division Director <br />This letter is to inform you that the Colorado Division of Minerals and Geology is proposing to approve with <br />conditions a renewal application for a coal mining and reclamation permit. The application was submitted by Seneca <br />Coal Company on August 19, 1996, for the Seneca II Mine. <br />Any person with an interest which may be adversely affected by the proposed decision mtty request a formal hearing <br />before the Mined Land Reclamation Board within 30 days of the first publication of this notice by the Division in <br />the Steamboat Pila[. <br />The surface mine is located approximately 9 miles SE of Hayden. The permit area is further described as follows: <br />TSN, R87W; All of Sections I, 2 and 12; Portions of Sections 3. I I :Ind 13 <br />T6N, R87W; Portions of Sections 27, 34, 35 and 36 <br />TSN, R86W; Portions of Sections 6 and 7. <br />Copies of the renewal application are available for public review in the Division offices at the above address and at <br />[he Routt County Clerk and Recorder's Office.
