Conditional approval of Technical Revision TR-015
provides for the following:
Disposal of dewatered high-density water treatment sludge from the Urad wastewater treatment plant into the#1
Dam Tailing Impoundment at the Henderson Mill.
The following conditions are applied to the approval of technical revision TR-015.
STIPULATION NO.01:
:,. Disposal of Urad Treatment Plant sludge into the Henderson Tailing Impoundment is not being approved as a
post mining land use. Once the time arrives that the area of the impoundment being used for sludge disposal is to
be reclaimed under the terms of the approved reclamation plan and the rules and regulations of the Colorado
Mined Land Reclamation Board, sludge disposal into the impoundment must be discontinued.
The terms of the Technical Revision No.015 approved by the DMG are hereby incorporated into Permit No.M-1977-
342. DMG's approval
of TR-0I S does not preclude requirements to obtain any other federal, state,or local permits, licenses, or approvals as
necessary. In particular,DMG advises that you contact Grand County government and the Colorado Hazardous
Materials and Waste Management Division(HMWMD)to ascertain if they have any requirements that would apply. A
copy of the memorandum of understanding between DMG and HMWMD is enclosed for your reference.
If you have any questions, please contact me at 303l866-4063 or at alien.sorenson@state.co.us.
Sincerely,
Allen C.
