Farrell <br />Mined Land Reclamation Division <br />423 Centennial Building <br />1313 Sherman Street <br />Denve r, Colorado 80203 <br />RE: Fremont Paving and Redi-Mix, McKenzie Pit, File No. M-85-244 <br />Dear Ms. Farrell: <br />Recapping our meeting at the above referenced mine site on August 8, 1985, the <br />following items were discussed between Fremont Paving Representatives, Mr. Jim <br />Ary, Manager , "Smitty", Assistant Manager for Fremont Paving, ani mysebf, <br />Chuck Rupp, Engineer, Ed Bishoff and yourself from M. L. R. D. and thus agreed upon: <br />1. No drainage ditch will be placed along the south boundary. <br />2. Replacing one main channel on the site, there will be five channels along the <br />North boarder for proper drainage of the affected area. <br />3. The leaking pump for the Asphalt plant shall be replaced so that there will be no <br />oil leakage into the irrigation ditch. <br />4. Asphalt and cement waste will be used as fill for the gas pipeline and eroded areas <br />on the north side. <br />5. The backfilled area on the south side will remain at a 2 1/2:1 slope since the <br />previous operator reclaimed it and not the present operator. <br />6. The deadline for the submission of the technical revision which will replace <br />sections of the confusing permit document and the engineer's drainage plan <br />will be extended past the August Mined Land Reclamation Board meeting if <br />the following is accomplished: <br />a. A Certified Engineer (Chuck Rupp.) draw up the drainage plan for the <br />affected area, with timetables on completion of this to be submitted <br />to M. L. R. D. by August 21, 1985. <br />b. The revised legal description, maps, mining plan, reclamation plan, <br />reclamation costs and end use are drawn up, with timetables on the <br />completion of these being submitted to M. L. R. D. by August 21, 1985, <br />for their review. (Timetables only being required by August 21, 1985. ) <br />
