I was informed BMR1 pereozznel
that the source of the discharge was a 3oint on t e pvc pipe line
which runo from BMRI"s pit to the tailings dlspos 1 area.
Un 10/01/93, fulluwing re-•working of the saturat~d arcn:, benenth
the delivery line and at t}te Lie-in, art ther diEic}large
(referenced in MLRD observations dated 10/15/93) occurred in thin
area. Once again, isolated areas beneath the del~~~very ]ine4 and
at t.1te tie• in became saturated, delaying dap oymettt; of the
ayntheLiu llner. I was not aware of the actual source of t}te
diecitaz~ge w}tiu}t uccurred on ]0/0]/93.
My concerns expressed to MLRD representaUives rpsarding both c,i'
thecae occurrences were in reference to saturation~of the aubgrade
material.

Joltrt A.
