Exhibit C -Pre-Mining and Mining Plan Map(s) of Affected
Lands
The Map of Affected and Amended Lands included with this submittal is intended
to supplement existing information already presented under this same exhibit title
in the 1986 Amendment. There are several significant differences...
Permit boundaries are now clearly indicated along with distances between permit
corners. The original map utilized references to Section. Township rind Range,
but did no[ tie some unclear lines to a definite reference point, making
determination of the permit boundary on the ground difficult.
The updated information in this submittal utilizes Point A, (a stake I~~cated just
inside the corner post at the intersection of a durable fence line), and the fence
line running West from Point A as the beginning reference ling; for the
establishment of all permit corners and their resulting boundaries.
All distances and angles were measured utilizing a Total Station set up, and
resulting accuracy's are superior to the minimum establishment of such
boundaries utilizing the presently accepted minimum of a Brunton Compass and
Chain measurement.
The measurement is not a land survey and its sole purpose is to establish the
relative position of the permit boundary and all internally affected lands in a
manner that can be reasonably verified in the field, for the purposes of satisfying
all reasonable terms of this permit and its attending Rules and Regulations. All
other measurements necessary to identify the permit boundary relative to
property ownership (i.e. a legal land survey) can only be established by a
Registered Surveyor, the manner of which is not required under this permitting
authority.
Internal measurements of affected land were conducted by Measured Pace and
Compass and provide reasonable accuracy's for purposes of establishing warranty
estimates and assuring permit compliance. Note: Point W on the m:ap is not
included in the map Key, but represents an adjustment of the Pace and Compass
measurement of approximately l00 feet to better fit the estimated internal
measurements to line up with the access road established by Total Station
measurement. The different orders of accuracy made such adjustments possible
and necessary to better reflect actual field conditions.
All permit corners have been established on the ground based upon Total Station
measurement and will be similarly posted in the field to allow good line of sight
vision in the field. This will better assure the integrity of all permit boundaries
in the future. Actual markers in the field wilt be set approximately six to eight
Varra Companies. Inc. • Amendment of June 1995 • Jenkins Site • Iv1-77-393
