<br />PUBLIC NOTICE
<br />Somerset Mining Company, P.O. Box 535, Somerset, CO, has submitted an
<br />application for a Technical Revision, to the Colorado Mined Land
<br />Reclamation Division, for its Somerset and Sanborn Creek Mines, mining
<br />permit No. C-81-022. The proposed revision addresses numerous issues
<br />raised by the Division during the mid-term review process. The proposed
<br />revision will reorganize the permit into eight volumes, update the
<br />identification of interests, clarify the timing for reclamation of the
<br />Bear and Hubbard Creek facilities, revise certain revegetation practices
<br />and provide a design for an upland diversion for the east yard coal mine
<br />waste pile. The mine site is located north of the town of Somerset, CO.
<br />The North Fork of the Gunnison River is located south of the town of
<br />Somerset. The mine permit areas are located on the U.S. Geological
<br />Survey 7.5 minute Bowie and Somerset Quadrangle maps.
<br />The Somerset Coal Mine permit area is located in portions of the
<br />following described lands.

<br />acres are on private land owned by the Operator and 2129 acres are on

<br />and at the offices of the Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Division, 1313

<br />comments or objections to the proposed revision may be submitted to and
