Technical Revision No. 25 -Reclamation Cost Estimate
De;u Mr. Kazo:
The Division of Minerals and Geology has prepazed a revised reclamation cost estimate
for the Yoast Mine. The new liability is a result of Technical Revision No. 25 and new
pit length information provided in the recent survey conducted by Seneca Coal Company
(SC;C). The estimate uses a total pit length of approximately 9,600 feet, versus the 7,100
feet provided with SCC's June 30, 2004 adequacy response letter for TR-25.
The new liability for the Yoast Mine is $5,128,121.00. The Division currently holds a
sure, bond in the amount of $4,600,000.00. SCC needs to submit a minimum of
$528,121.00 in new bond to cover the increase in liability associated with TR-25.
To c;nsure compliance, SCC must submit the increased bond liability amount to the
Division within 7 days following receipt of this revised IiabiIity estimate.
