RESOURCE'., Ruy Rnnnv Guvc~a.u ken Sal,mv Pei vure Dvcr ins ~.,~rn.~eis w~F Div Isom Direr u~r Pursuant to Title 33, Article 34, Paragraph 3, of the Colorado Revised Statutes, the Division of Minerals and Geology hereby issues notice that on February 14, 1994, an application for renewal of a valid, existing permit to conduct coal mining operations, Permit No. C-81-014, by Energy Fuels Coal, Inc., P.O. Box 449, Florence, Colorado 81226, was deemed complete for the purposes of filing. All reviews and comment periods as provided in the Act and Regulations promulgated thereunder initiate from this day of filing. The applicant proposes to continue conducting underground coal mining operations at the Southfield Mine. The permit area is divided into two parts: the Southfield Mine area and the Railroad Loadout area. The mine area is located seven miles south of Florence, Colorado, and the loadout area is located approximately one mile west of Florence, Colorado, in the following sections: Southfield Mine Area: Township 20 South, Range 69 West Sections 19, 30, and 31 Township 20 South, Range 70 West Sections 23, 24, 25, and 26 Railroad Loadout Area: Township 19 South, Range 69 West Sections 17 and 18 The above-mentioned tracts of land are shown on USGS 7.5 minute Quadrangle maps of Rockvale (mine area) and Canon City (loadout area). A copy of the application is available for public inspection at the Fremont County Courthouse, 615 Macon Avenue, Room B-5, Canon City, Colorado. Written
