CHAFFEE COUNTY MINING PERMIT <br />SUBMITTAL REQUIREMENTS <br />The Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Board Mining Pernut amendment application <br />addresses the following required information concerning the Chaffee County <br />requirements. ACA PRODUCTS, INC. would request the fencing requirement be <br />relaxed. A request for the exception to section 9.1.6.1 addressing yeazs of operation. <br />The amended acreage will be permitted with the Bureau of Land Management for I S <br />years. <br />1. Proof of Ownership -Exhibit O <br />2. Aerial Photos -Exhibit B <br />3. Detailed Plot Plan -Exhibit C <br />4. Mineral Resources -Exhibit I <br />5. Geologic Conditions - Exhibit C & I <br />Please find attached the additional information required by the Boazd of County <br />Commissioners. <br />Analvsis of the Commercial Feasibility <br />The Trout Creek Pit has been in operations for over 20 years. The staff with the Bureau <br />of Land Management has worked diligently in working with our staff. The 20 acre lease <br />will benefit both the public lands and the agricultural fields surrounding the site. The <br />ability to continue serving the azea with quality construction aggregates with minimal <br />disturbance. ACA PRODUCTS, INC. supplies aggregate for industrial, commercial and <br />residential use. <br />Analvsis of the Fiscal Impacts <br />The revenue from taxation for the county provides the azea with a valuable resource. The <br />construction industry receives quality aggregates from a local source. A large buffer <br />zone is included to ensure all operations wnform to existing noise, lighting, vibration, <br />dust and other Chaffee County standazds. <br />Comprehensive Plan <br />Chaffee County current land use patterns in the azea include but are not limited to <br />established residential properties, commercial rafting companies, mining, agricultural, <br />and commercial activity. The acreage amendment will allow for the natural resource <br />extraction of sand deposits on the property. <br />Water and Sewer Svstem <br />The existing Trout Creek Pit does not have water and sewer needs nor will the amended <br />acreage. No water or sewer systems will be requested for the additional acreage of <br />property located in Chaffee County. <br />
