EXIIIBIT E
RECLAMATION PLAN
The post mining land use for the BLM site is public lands. The current vegetation is
estimated at 55% consisting of rabbit brush shmbs and a few grasses. The reclamation
plans for the amended acreage will continue to be public lands with the potential for
wildlife habitat improvements.
Several major floods in the Trout Creek azea have left an alluvial fan of sand. Large
deposits have been removed from the current permitted acreage. Portions of permitted
acreage have been planted in alfalfa. No topsoil will be removed or stockpiled on the
amended acreage. The removal of the sand deposit left from historical flooding will
allow the soils beneath to be exposed.
Earthmoving activities will include approximately 15- 18 acres. The rock outcroppings
to the East will not be disturbed and sand removal will follow the natural rock contours.
The final grading of the western slopes (3 to 1) will create a final topography that will
complement both the BLM property and Mr. Moltz's agricultural lands.
Once the sand material is removed, a large depression azea will be created blending in
with land owned by Mr. Moltz. The slopes will be disced and planted with a Foothills
Seed Mix. Portions of the amended acreage may not be reclaimed due to extensive water
and drought conditions. The seed mix selected has excellent cold and drought tolerance,
which may help. Portions of the acreage currently used for winter water runoff does not
support vegetation. All attempts will be made to improve the future and cuaent
vegetation conditions. The seed mix that we aze considering is attached. Should we find
a native species that will complement the site to a greater degree; a request will be made
with the Bureau of Land Management.
