At the time of any transfer of ownership, site access for
monitoring, maintenance, and reclamation will be addressed through specific contractual terms, as
evidenced by the attached example "Special Warranty Deed". Each site will be marked with a small sign
identifying the associated mine permit number.
Surface monitoring sites involve minimal disturbance (typically a flume within the flow channel, estimated
at 10' x 10' or 0.0023 acres), and as previously noted, Site 304 has been reclaimed. The only existing
disturbance for alluvial and groundwater wells is the actual well-bore and casing, since well construction
disturbances (drill pads - 50' x 50' or 0.057 acres for alluvial wells and 100' x 100' or 0.23 acres for
groundwater wells) were reclaimed at the time of well installation. Reclamation of alluvial wells (008-AV-
1 and 008-AV-2) will involve very limited re-disturbance of the sites, with backfilling of the well-bore with
native soil materials and removal (in most cases) of the shallow well casing. Reclamation of bedrock
monitoring wells {FBR-2E and 008-77-58) will involve standard well plugging, sealing, and reclamation
measures, as outlined in the approved Mining and Reclamation Plan.
