~. .
,.
III IIIIIIIIIIIIIIII
Trapper Mining Inc. Response to
CDMG Mid-Term Permit Review
January 22, 1996, Page 2
A. RESPONSE TO 12/13/95 CORRESPONDENCE
Rule 2.03:
1. OWNS OR CONTROLS
The Division has requested additional information concerning persons who own or conVOl Tri-State
Generation & Transmission, Inc., Potluck Mining, Salt River Project, PacifiCorp, Platte River Power
Authority, and Williams Fork Company. Trapper feels sufficient information is already provided and that
additional information would be burdensome and require numerous revisions to keep current. Tri-State, for
example, has 35 members on the Boazd of Directors.
Official documentation is attached listing those personnel that are associated with Trapper Mine as owners or
controllers. This same information is kept current in our Mining and Reclamation Permit. If this is no[
sufficient, please provide us with a printout of names listed on the AVS system and corrective action will be
taken.
Footnote 1. on page 1-11a explains the relationship between Williams Fork Mining Company and Trapper
Mining Inc. The only relationship between the companies aze the same officers and directors. Currently,
Williams Fork Mining Company is inactive.
Rule 2.05:
4.c. SITE SMF290
Site SMF290 is correctly located on Permit Map M45. The site was field checked by Trapper's Sr.
Environmental Engineer. He also confirmed that there was no site at the location SMF949 which is also
stated on Perntit Page 2-591 (Revised 8/10/87). Sites SMF290 and SMF949 are indeed the same site and the
location on Map M45 for site SMF290 is the correct location.
B. RESPONSE TO 11/30/95
Rule 4.03.1(4) Haul Road Ditches
The Division requested a generic haul road ditch design that demonstrates any haul road ditch will safely pass
the mnoff from a 10-year, 24-hour even[. Part Ii of Appendix P illustrates the standard ditch design used on
Trapper Mine haul roads.
C. RESPONSE TO 12/18/95 CORRESPONDENCE
Rule 2.05.3(2)(a)
12. Revised Table 3.1-3
Table 3.1-3 has been corrected. No cropland acres are planned for reclamation in 1996.
