Pursuant to Title 34, Article 35, Paragraph 3, of the Colorado Revised
Statutes, the Division of Minerals and Geology hereby issues notice that on
September 8, 1994, a technical revision application for a permit to conduct
coal mining operations by Bear Coal Company, Inc., P.O. Box 518, Somerset,
Colorado 81434, was deemed complete for the purposes of filing. All reviews
and comment periods as provided in the Act and Regulations promulgated
thereunder initiate from this day of filing.
The applicant proposes to revise underground coal mining operations at the
Bear Mine. Subsidence monitoring will be suspended at 12 of 15 monitoring
stations. The three remaining active subsidence monitoring stations are
located in Lone Pine Gulch.
The mine is located immediately south and east of the town of Somerset,
Colorado, within the following sections:
Township 13 South. Range 90 West. 6th P.M.

Section 9: S/2
Section 16: All
Section 17: All
NW/
Section 20: N/2
Section 21: N/2
SE/4 South of River

except portions of the N/2 NW/4,
