Responses are provided in the order of your September 19, 1990 letter.
1. WFC proposes to utilize Basin big sagebrush in the woody plant augmentation plan.
2. Representative transects will be utilized to determine the success of shrub seeding. These transects will
provide data to determine if additional seeding will be necessary. If the data shows that a sufficient
number of shrubs are present on the site to allow for normal mortality during the remainder of the
liability period, than no further seeding or planting will be conducted.
3. Attached is a letter from BLM indicating that they have minimal interest in re-establishing shrubs on the
reclaimed property. A letter from Mr. Dale Moore has been requested and will be forwarded to the
Division when it is received.
4. Page 65A has been revised to re0ec[ a woody stem densi[y standard of 2,000 stems/acre rather than 1,850
stems/acre.
5. Attached are pages 10 through 12 of Appendix F which have been updated to reflect the currently
proposed revegetation success standards contained on Pages 65 to 65D of the permit. Also included is
a statement on page 65 of the permit to indica[e that the standards contained on pages 65 to 65D of the
permit supersede the previous standards contained in the correspondence section of the permit.
Should you have questions or need additional information concerning these responses, please do not
hesitate to let me know.
Sincerely, d
Joy hn S.
