LOng <br />Division Durc Wr <br />The Division of Minerals and Geology hereby issues notice, in accordance with Title 34, Article 33, <br />Section 118, Paragraph 3, of the Colorado Revised Statutes, that on May 10, 1996, an application to renew an <br />existing permit to conduct reclamation operations at the Keenesburg Mine was considered complete for the <br />purposes of filing. All review and comment periods as provided in the Act and the Regulations initiate from <br />this date of filing. <br />The applicant proposes to continue reclamation operations on land located six miles north of Keenesburg, <br />Colorado. These operations are associated with backfilling the final two open pits with fly ash and bottom ash <br />from the Trigen Power Plant located in Golden, Colorado. The permit area is located in Sections 25 and 36, <br />Township 3 North, Range 64 West, 6th P.M., and is shown on USGS 7.5 minute Quadrangle maps of Klug <br />Ranch and Tampa. <br />A copy of the renewal application is available for public inspection at the Keenesburg Town Hall and at the <br />Division office.
