waste disposal areas..."
DM#9. West end of ditch segment reconstructed last year. "V"
shape ditch, 16.5' tw, 2.7' d, outside slope 25$, inside slope
70$ (cross sectional area of 22.3 sq. ft). 1$ grade to east,
rocky soil bottom. Cross sectional area substantially lower
than approved design, however SEDCAD evaluation indicates
sufficient capacity for design flow.
DM#10. Approximately 60 feet from eastern terminus of ditch.
Trapezoidal shape, 16' tw, 5' bw, 4.8' d (cross sectional area
of 50 sq. ft). 1% grade to east, rocky soil bottom. Cross
sectional area exceeds approved design, and SEDCAD evaluation
indicates sufficient capacity for design flow.
CRDA #1 Perimeter Collection Ditches
Permit Exhibit 20 approved designs specify Northwest
Collection Ditch "GG" as Trapezoidal, with 2' bw, 4.6' tw, and
1.3' d. NW Collection Ditch "EE" is "V" ditch 2.2' deep, 8.8'
tw, with adjacent berm 2.5' high with 10 foot top width.
Southeast Collection Ditch "HH", Trapezoidal, 2' bw, 5.6' tw,
1.8' d.
No problems were identified by field measurements.
DM#11. Lower section of SE Collection Ditch "HH", near
junction of Terrace Drain #1. Trapezoidal, 11' tw, 3' bw, 2'
d. 10% slope, 10"+ riprap. Dimensions exceed approved
design, and SEDCAD evaluation indicates sufficient capacity
for design flow, non erosive.
DM#12. NW Collection Ditch "EE", approximately 300 feet above
Pond 6 inlet. Trapezoidal, 13' tw, 5' bw, 1.6' d. 20 grade,
vegetated channel. Dimensions exceed approved design, and
SEDCAD evaluation indicates sufficient capacity for design
flow, non erosive. Adjacent berm present as specified.
DM#13. NW Collection Ditch "EE" at upper end of low gradient
segment just below sharp curve where Segment "GG" enters "EE".
Trapezoidal, 13' tw, 5.5' bw, 1.5' d, 2$ grade, 12" riprap.
Dimensions exceed approved design, and SEDCAD evaluation
indicates sufficient capacity for design flow, non erosive.
Adjacent berm present as specified.
DM#14. NW Collection Ditch "GG" approximately 40 feet below
junction of Terrace Drain #2. Trapezoidal ditch 10.5' tw, 4'
bw, 2' d, 7% grade, riprap lined. Dimensions exceed approved
design, and SEDCAD evaluation indicates sufficient capacity
for design flow, non erosive. Note that ditch segment in this
vicinity was included in NOV C-97-016, issued on October 3,
6
