Pit #1 (Permit No. M-2001-107) (CHS #50862)
Deaz Mr. Bud:
Thank you for your correspondence dated August 29, 2007 (zeceived by our office on August 30)
regarding the project referenced above.
A seazch of the Colorado Cultural Resource Inventory indicated that no surveys for cultural resources
have been conducted within the proposed pemrit azea and no resources have been recorded within the
proposed pemut azea. However, out files contain incomplete information for this area, as most of
Colorado has not yet been inventoried for cultural resources. As a result, there is the possibility that as
yet unidentified cultural resources exist within the permit azea.
Should human remains be discovered during mining activities, the requirements under State law CRS
24-80 part 13 apply and must be followed.
Thank you for the oppornmiry to comment. If we may be of further assistance, please contact Greg
Wolff, Compliance Coordinator, at (303) 866-4674.
Sincerely, /~ r'//~ e/
cj~'Georgianna Contiguglia
~^ ~ State Historic Preservation Officer
GC/GAW
I3OO BROADWAY DENVER COLORADO 80203 TES 303/866-3395 Fax 303/866-27!! wwwcoloradohrstory-oahp,org
