Zhe slope of the <br />ditch was calculated to be 14.6 percent (see Es diibit 7-7) . SIDC7iD+ was <br />in the design of this diversion (see Addendiun 7-6f-B for SIDCAD+ <br />commuter run) • • <br />Based on the results as tabulated in Table 7-6f-14, Diversion No. 1 will <br />have a flow depth of 0.26 feet at a velocity of 7.60 fps. This velocity <br />is well within accepted velocities for nonerodible channels. The ditch <br />will have a m;n;mim, depth of 1.5 feet t0 allow for ovEr a foot of <br />freeboard. <br />It is expected that sufficient bedrocX will be encountered in the <br />construction of this diversion. If this is not the case, an alternative <br />design is presented in Addend~nn 7-6f~ showing the ditch as a riprapped <br />structure.
