Long
No M-94-050, Sierra Grande Site, File No M-94-103 Divis ion Direclo~
Dear Mr Devereaux,
At its March 26-27, 1995 meeting, the Mined Land Reclamation Board
again continued the matter of the violation found at the above-
named site, and the Board-ordered corrective actions until the May
24-25, 1995 meeting.
Because of the limitations placed on Costilla County's ability to
complete the required corrective actions by the dates in the Order,
and the County's commitment to fully comply, the Board felt that
granting this continuance was reasonable. Nothing contained in the
original Board Order has been modified, nor has a new Board Order
been issued for violation of not complying with an existing Board
Order.
This matter will be brought before the Board during the May 24-25,
1995 meeting, at which time it will consider the county's progress
toward completing the corrective actions. A representative of
Costilla County is asked to be present at said Board meeting, to
discuss the county's progress toward compliance with the Board
Order.
I hope by that time that Costilla County is in possession of all
its records necessary to complete this matter and approve a permit
for the Sierra Grande Site. Contact me if you have questions.
Sincerely,
~o~ ~~
Bob Oswald
Environmental Protection Specialist
cc: Costilla County Commissioners, P O Box 100, San Luis CO 81152
b:\dmgcor03.95/15
