The changed topography will only affect the water flow in the pi[ area. A review of a topography
i p indicates that water does not flow north to Greenhorn Creek, since there is a ridge between
~~ raneros Creek and Greenhorn Creek. Also, Mountain Shadows Road and Drive, which border the
ae,~ pit area on the north and east, channel water south to Greenhorn Road, which has not created any
(~''~(/ flooding problems in the past. This applicant does not feel it will create problems in the future since
there is no change in the drainage pattern. No water conveyance structures will have to handle _
J increased~waste Bows since there is no change from the historic pattern. Water in the pit area will
be detained by aloes berm on the south side.
~~, 3. The operator is familiaz with perched groundwater such as you describe. However, the operator's
employees and previous operators have not encountered groundwater in this operation. If it should
be encountered in the future, the operator will take the necessary steps to address the issue.
4. As stated earlier, a layer of average 12" of pit nm material will be lefr on the pit floor before
topsoiling to provide positive drainage, but not to the creek, since Lot l4 has been eliminated. Any
water not absorbed will flow to the southeast.
5. No water will be required for this dry pit operation.
G-1
